Life Experience Questionnaires (Bio-Data) Sometimes known as biodata, life experience questionnaires (LEQs) provide insight into a person's experiences that are relevant to the job they are seeking. LEQs can measure specific experiences about a person's previous work history, education, and interests. Here are some samples of validated LEQ items: How many years of previous sales experience do you have? None 1 2 3-4 5-9 10+ Of the jobs you have previously had, which one(s) have you enjoyed the most? Those that allowed a great amount of interaction with other people. Those that required working in a small group. Those that allowed me to work closely with one other person. Those that allowed me to work by myself. We have a library of LEQ items from which to choose so that only relevant experiences are included in the instrument. We validate all of the items with your performance criteria to ensure an accurate predictor of job performance. LEQ scores measure attributes which are different than those obtained in personality or aptitude tests. This improves the accuracy of selection systems that already use those types of instruments.
